Updates on Year 1!

On April 25th, the Participatory Budgeting Project, Community Voices Heard and the Urban Justice Center held a briefing at the New York Foundation to update some of the funders that helped support our first year (and others who may support us in the future!)  on our progress.

Project Videos in D45 and D39!

District 45 and District 39 have created videos to help promote the projects on their districts' ballots. Listen to budget delegates explain why their committees' projects are so important - and pick your favorites for next week's vote!

The PBNYC ballots are finalized - with the complete lists of projects for the vote! See the sample ballots below:

International Conference on Participatory Budgeting Coming to New York!

The first International Conference on Participatory Budgeting in the US and Canada will be coming to to New York City on March 30-31st, 2012. The conference will provide a space for participants and organizers of the initial PB processes in the US and Canada to share and reflect on their experiences so far, and it will have a special focus on PBNYC! Participants will be able to observe the PBNYC vote  in several districts on March 31st, and learn about PBNYC in conference sessions and during a project briefing.
